Tabakalera is the project that will change the former tobacco factory of San Sebastian into an International Contemporary Culture Centre, specialized in visual culture.
Contemporary art, television, video and cinema, design and sound will converge in a same space. A singular space of exhibitions and audio-visual programmes. And, above all, a place to work, to produce, to create. An image factory.
While the project is being developed and the renovation of the building is in progress, Tabakalera is organising exhibitions, courses, debates... Its activities coexist in the spaces of the factory with recordings, filmings and events produced by other agents of the surroundings. Tabakalera is already a living place.
